Th EP-5 is a feature-rich optic designed to offer a balance of quality, performance, and value. It utilizes Japanese ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass to improve clarity and reduce chromatic aberration, which is a common issue that causes color fringing.

As a First Focal Plane (FFP) scope, its reticle's size scales with the magnification. This means that subtensions (the markings on the reticle used for ranging or holdovers) remain accurate across the entire magnification range.

The scope's reticle is etched, which generally provides a more durable and precise reticle compared to wire reticles. It is also illuminated, enhancing visibility in low-light conditions or against dark targets.

For precise adjustments, the EP5 is equipped with adjustable elevation and windage turrets. These turrets feature tactile and audible clicks, providing clear feedback to the user for each adjustment.
