The BSA Lightning XL SE GRT takes one of BSA’s best selling air rifles and elevates it with Gas Ram Technology, replacing the traditional metal mainspring with a pneumatic ram filled with inert nitrogen. The result is a smoother, quieter and more consistent shooting experience, while retaining all the refinements that have made the Lightning XL SE such a firm favourite with sporting shooters.

Unlike conventional spring-powered rifles, the gas ram system produces virtually no vibration on discharge. This reduces rifle movement at the point of firing, helping the pellet leave the barrel more cleanly and improving real-world accuracy. The gas ram also offers greater longevity than a steel spring, with less risk of performance degradation over time due to metal fatigue. Cocking is smoother and more even, adding to the rifle’s refined feel.

The Lightning XL SE GRT features a newly designed stock with attractive chequering at the pistol grip and fore end for secure handling in all conditions. A slimline silencer fully sleeves the carbine barrel to effectively reduce muzzle blast, while a ventilated butt pad ensures comfortable and stable shoulder contact.
