New Style BSA Ultra CLX Mags

The BSA Ultra CLX Magazine is the latest evolution of BSA’s proven multi shot feeding system, designed specifically for BSA CLX platform rifles. Extensively field tested, these magazines deliver outstanding reliability, smooth operation and improved durability in all shooting conditions.

Featuring a fully self-contained indexing system, the CLX magazine removes the need for the trigger mechanism to control indexing. This allows the trigger to perform its primary function without interference, resulting in enhanced consistency, smoother cycling and increased long-term reliability.

Each magazine is fitted with a colour-coded rotor for easy calibre identification blue for .177 and red for .22 and includes a numbered shot countdown indicator, so you always know how many shots remain.

Unlike older BSA “tic-toc” escapement magazines, the new CLX design is free-wheeling and incorporates an integral pellet stop. This prevents the magazine from rotating beyond alignment with the barrel while a pellet is already in the breech, ensuring safe and controlled feeding. Once wound and released, the rotor naturally returns to chamber one.

The updated CLX magazines are fully compatible with older and current BSA rifles, including the Ultra CLX, R12 CLX and Goldstar models.

Loading Instructions

1. Insert a pellet into chamber one, ensuring the skirt sits below the top plate.

2. Rotate the rotor to the next chamber.

3. Insert the next pellet.

4. Repeat until the magazine is fully loaded.

Important: Once the loaded magazine is inserted into the rifle, cycle the bolt only once between shots. Cycling the bolt more than once may introduce additional pellets into the barrel and could result in damage to the rifle.
