The PHILOSOPHY of GPO
GPO GmbH (German Precision Optics) was founded in 2015 by former managers and specialists in the optics industry (with a total of over 100 years of industry experience) with the aim of offering nature-loving customers high-quality optics with significantly more features at an extremely fair price-performance ratio. This is made possible by particularly lean, flexible and efficient company structures and processes.
The main pillars are hunting and shooting sports, nature observation, law enforcement and OEM. GPO products are already represented in over 60 countries, mostly under the GPO brand, but often also under the brands of OEM partners.
The Group’s headquarters are located in Germany in the south of Munich (Inning am Ammersee). All central areas such as research & development, product management, construction & design, quality control, marketing & sales, administration and logistics are also located here.
The production of selected key components (e.g. electronic lighting control, fiber optic reticles) is also located in Germany. The final assembly of the products takes place in our international production network in Asia (Japan, Philippines, China).

GPO combines over 100 years of industrial and outdoor experience and stands for the highest quality standards „Designed & Engineered in Germany“ as well as long-term and trusting partnerships at eye level. We know all the requirements and needs of our partners and customers and respond to them in the best possible way. In our design, development and quality center outside Munich, we react quickly and flexibly to product trends, constantly set new standards and keep costs low through lean and efficient structures/processes.
